It's like the problem on this topic, so i didn't opened a new one(please let me know if i did something wrong). The problem is i cannot upgrade anything, because i get Quote: Error code: 18005 Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the file name. So, i entered on the serial with a max232, and i see the output similar to WF514N3 (but for my router, some is partially lost)and i cannot enter in the boot shell, the last line is about: br0: port 1(eth0) entering forwarding state. I cannot see Quote: Autobooting in 1 seconds. And tpl command doesn't seems to work. This prevents the web-update to update it with TP-Link firmware (DD-WRT web-update firmware. Anyone with a CANYON CNP. Just dragged a CN-WF514. Canyon CNP-WF514A Pdf User Manuals. View online or download Canyon CNP-WF514A User Manual. Please, tell me, how can I enter in canyon boot shell? It should boot more? Because the router works even if it appears to stop at that line. Thank you very much for spending time reading this. MAX232 is a 5V device so it misses bits of the reception, use MAX3232 instead! There are also missing components in the serial circuit which likely is the reason for why you can not stop the boot sequence, see: _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler! The result is a bit unstable (router output is often partially lost) and can probably be improved electrically. Well, i finnaly got an answer about the booting sequence, thank you, LOM, i was spending many nights trying to figure this out. I was trying to put dd wrt on this canyon, (i had a Linksys wr54gl, worked like a charm), so i guess i will have to wait to appear some bins? I see from the posts above that the bin from TP Link is different in content from Canyon, so if i try to modify just the header i guess won't work. So, isn't there any other option besides waiting and reprograming the chip separately? Telnet or SSH, with tftp boot?anything? Because i have the same Atheros AR7240@400MHz cpu Atheros AR9285 wireless chip as tp-link, and i really miss dd-wrt, it has everything, unlike this canyon stock firmware. Edit: Reading these days about this problem, I see that i can link max3232 serial to AR7240 cpu directly, on pins 86→Rx and 87→Tx. Party and a beat nicki minaj mp3 song. Doing this, will i be able to stop the autoboot? Or i can damage the cpu? What do you think? Edit: I managed to upgrade to DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/21/10) std, doing this: 1. Hook Max232 serial's Tx Rx Gnd to Canyon cpu's Tx Rx Gnd, like in the image attached bellow, and followed those steps:. First time i tried, i got an error 'GUNZIP ERROR - must RESET board to recover', so i tried to reset the board(holding 30 seconds reset button, power off, power on, release reset button), but nothing happened, still the error. I repeated flash steps from URL above, and it worked. Pictures to hook serial to canyon's cpu(it's a bit large, please tell me if i didnt upload it corectly): max232 serial used: [/url] LOM DD-WRT Guru Joined: 28 Dec 2008 Posts: 7625 Posted: Sat Mar 17, 2012 3:18 Post subject: Haliucinas wrote: So as @Majestic007 managed to put dd wrt on Canyon CNP-WF514N1A, can factory-to-ddwrt be created?
